Soccer

Afton played her very first soccer game on Saturday. She had fun, until one of the girls on the other team kept pushing her and then finally pushed her down. Afton had enough so she just ran off the field to me and said I am done, I don't want to play anymore. That same girl kept pushing another girl on Afton's team and made her cry.

She looks so cute.

First day of School

Afton started Kindergarten this year. She was a little nervous, but now she loves it. I am not sure I love the getting up early every morning part, but I guess it is good for me.

This is her getting on the bus to go to school.

This is Afton getting off the bus coming home from school.

All summer Afton has talked about riding the bus. I think she looked forward to that more then the school part. Tucker is also enjoying going to the bus stop every morning and playing with all the kids. There are 10 kids that get on the bus together.
Tucker is doing Joy School but I haven't taken any pictures of that yet. It is at our house tomorrow so maybe I can get a few then. He loves that he gets to go to school just like Afton.

Summer Activities

With School starting I better get on the ball and post some of our summer activities. Luckily I am feeling better with this pregnancy. I am now 16 weeks (4 months).
We spent the 4th of July at my parents cabin in Island Park. We took the kids into West Yellowstone so they could ride their bikes in the parade. They loved it. My Dad walked with them while I took pictures.

My sister and her kids came up for a few days. We took them into Yellowstone. All the kids were fighting over Grandmas binoculars so we went to the gift shop at Canyon and bought them all toy binoculars. They had a ball searching for animals as we drove through Yellowstone.

On this trip we saw 5 bears. This is a picture of a mama bear with 2 cubs. Over almost 30 years of visitng Yellowstone this is a first for me. The kids loved seeing the baby bears.

Also on this trip my Mom and I took the kids to the rodeo in West Yellowstone. My kids love the rodeo.
Another activity this summer was miniture golfing with Jeremys family. This is the kids with Aunt Natalie. We had fun spending time with Natalie this summer. As I am typing this Natalie is on her way to her new home in Illinos. We are going to miss her so much. Afton was so sad last night she cried herself to sleep.
We are now getting Afton ready for Kindergarten. She starts on Aug.31st. She is so excited to ride the bus.
I hope all of you had a great summer.

Locks of Love

Afton decided she wanted a hair cut. She said she wanted it short, so we went to my good friend Adria and she gave Afton this wonderful hair cut. It was long enough for her to donate it to Locks of Love. Afton was so excited to tell people what happened to her hair.

So much going on

Well if I have any followers and you have been wondering if I am alive you don't need to worry anymore. I am still here. It's not that I haven't had anything to blog about it is finding the time. I will just sum up what has been happening since my last post. We sold our house, moved in with my parents for 3 weeks, bought a new house, moved into the new house, trip to Idaho Falls, trip to Island Park/Yellowstone, softball started for Jeremy, although will all this rain they haven't played for 2 weeks, I think he is having withdrawls, Afton graduated from Preschool, Afton cut 10 inches off her hair and donated it to locks -of -love, trying to get settled and unbox everything at the new house, the kids went to Lagoon with Grandma D. and most of the cousins. I am sure I have left out some things but as you can see we have been quit busy. I have pictures to go along with most of these but I don't have them on the computer so I can't post them yet. Lets see is there anything else, oh yes for the past 2 weeks I have been dealing with morning sickness. Yes I am pregnant. I think this one has been the worst. I have basically been in bed for 2 weeks. I hope it gets better soon. Well I am not feeling well right now so I am going to go lay down. Bye.

Happy Easter

The kids were really into Easter this year. Well, I should say they were really into finding easter eggs this year, and that is not what Easter is really all about. On Saturday we went to 4 egg hunts. They loaded up. We wen to a hunt with my brother Adam and his family, then we went to our park for a hunt. Then we had a party with Jeremys cousins on his moms side. Then we ended up at Grandma P's house for another egg hunt. Wow, what a day. That night at Grandma P's house the Easter Bunny left their bikes for them early. It was raining but that did not stop them. They were out in the rain riding up and down the drive way. Tucker did really well for not ever riding before.

Jeremy had to talk him through it a couple of times, but he eventually got the hang of it.

Easter morning, checking to see if the Easter Bunny came, again.

I love the facial expressions, they were so excited to see what they got.

We also had our annual egg hunt with Jeremy's family. Grandpa P. was at work so he was not able to be with us for the hunt. We missed him. This year we all did a mad dash to find our eggs so we would not get caught in the rain. We didn't make it, it started raining on us. It was still fun.

Grandma, Aunt Natalie, Afton and Tucker getting ready for the egg hunt.

Uncle Casey and Tucker take a break from hunting for eggs.

Once Tucker found his bubbles he was done with finding eggs. I ended up finding the rest of his.
Well that was a long post, I am done now, Bye.

Quote for the day

My kids have been saying such random, funny things lately that I am going to try and post them as often as I can.
Todays quote comes from Afton.

"Mom, when I grow up I am going to be a Princess, but I have to finish college first."

Tucker, again

So you know when you go into a store with your kids and you tell them not touch anything becuase it is expensive and you really don't want to have to buy something they might break. Well, I guess I have told that to my kids alot. This morning when I was putting Tuckers socks on I picked up his foot and was looking at his toes, you know doing the motherly thing to see if he needs his toe nails clipped or to see if he is clean enough for the day. Anyway, I was inspecting his big toe and he pulled it away from me and told me I can't touch him because he is expensive.

Where do they get it from?

The kids were playing the other day and this is what they came up with to wear. I had to ask, where do they get there style from? I don't think it comes from me.

Tucker turns 3

HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY TUCKER

Tucker turned 3 on March 28th. So I am way late posting about Tuckers Birthday. Better late then never, right? We asked Tucker if he wanted to go bowling or have a piniata. He chose the piniata. Since we don't have a garage we invited ourselves to my parents house, thanks Mom and Dad for the use of your garage, we also invited all the cousins. They had so much fun. I love the look on Aftons face when she gathered some loot.

The next day we celebrated with Jeremy's family.

Tucker

The following is a conversation Tucker and I had this morning. Tucker was sitting on the couch with his hands inbetween the couch cushions.

Me: Tucker, what are you doing?
Tucker: Looking for my booger.
Me. Why is your booger in the couch?
Tucker: Becuase I put it there.

I guess we can add that to the list of things you might find in your couch. Not to worry, the said booger has been successfully retrieved and properly disposed of.

Welcom Baby Kassidy

Congratulations to my sister Ashley and her husband Justin on the arrival of their new Baby. Kassidy Annette Waddell was born Monday, March 16, 2009. She was 7lbs 5oz. 20in long. She is so cute. Thanks Ashely and Justin for letting be there with you.
Proud big brother
Proud Grandpa
What a cutie

Disney on Ice

On Saturday we went to Disney on Ice (Afton, Tucker, Aunt Natalie and Grandma P). Afton was dressed as Tinker Bell and Tucker went as Peter Pan. They looked so cute. This was Tuckers first time going to Disney on Ice. We took Afton to the Princess one last year. Tucker kept asking me when Peter Pan and Captian Hook were going to come out. Then when they did he kept asking if he could go down there so he could fight Captain Hook. Before the show he bought a Peter Pan sword so he wanted to use it on Captain Hook.

Through the eyes of a child

So have you ever wondered what you look like through the eyes of your child. Well Jeremy and I don't have to wonder anymore. Afton drew us some pictures. I think we look pretty good.
This is of me when I was pregnant with Afton. You can see her in my belly. If only I was that skinny while I was pregnant.

This one is Jeremy, he is flexing his muscles.

I love that girl!

That's one way to do it

So I came into my living room and found my kids watching a movie. They were both sitting on a barstool. I would imagine if they had turned it the other way it would have been more comfortable.

Trying to figure this out

I have just spent all morning trying to get this thing started, I might as well spend the rest of the afternoon figuring out how to do this blogging thing. Besides, its Friday, who wants to do house work on Friday.
The photo is from a family vacation to Yellowstone this past summer. That is one of our favorite places to visit. We go there two or three times a year.

Here we go

So I have been reading other peoples blogs and thinking about starting a blog for about 2 years now. Better late then never, right. So, here we go.
